9-Month Abortions

Only extremists think 3rd trimester abortion is OK.

71% of Americans don’t believe 3rd trimester abortions should be allowed*

But the so-called Vermont progressive extremist “representatives” backed by Planned Parenthood think it should be a constitutional right for any reason.

Article 22 clearly states, “The right to personal reproductive autonomy is central to the liberty protected by this Constitution and shall not be denied or infringed”.

Article 22 goes on to say the government shall not “deny” nor “infringe” on this “right”, without exception. This will prohibit the State of Vermont from any ability to regulate abortions, including late-term abortions or infanticide.

There are no restrictions in Article 22 on when the “right” to “personal reproductive autonomy” ends.

House of Horrors

In 2013, the State of Pennsylvania convicted Kermit Gosnell of murdering 7 infants that were born alive during a failed abortion procedure. During his trial the atrocious and unhygienic conditions in his abortion clinic were dubbed the “House of Horrors.” Pennsylvania had not conducted even the most basic health inspection of Gosnell’s clinic nor any other clinics like it for over 15 years because, just like Vermont’s proposed Article 22, Pennsylvania law meant that even a routine health inspection would be an infringement on the right to perform unlimited abortions.

Proponents of Article 22 have stated very publicly that their goal is to ensure unlimited, unregulated, and unrestricted abortions throughout all nine months of pregnancy.

“People on both sides of the debate over abortion know that ‘reproductive autonomy’ is publicly understood to be a way of referring to an unlimited abortion license, that is, elective abortion permitted through the entire nine months of gestation and pregnancy up to and including the process of birth.”Robert P. George, Professor of Jurisprudence, Princeton University

Supporters of Article 22 see any restriction on abortion at any stage as “horrible, diabolical, unbelievable burdens.” They are well aware of what the ambiguity of their “shall not be infringed” language really means.

Alexis McGill Johnson, Planned Parenthood’s CEO said (on MSNBC), “despite their damnedest to try to create all of these horrible, diabolical restrictions…[view the full quote here]” In that same interview, she went on to say [any] restrictions on abortions are “unbelievable burdens” put on [women’s] bodies.

Planned Parenthood of Vermont’s Website Says It All

Their first testimonial, from “Emily”, tells the story of her 20-week abortion. “For me, reproductive freedom means the ability to control what happens to my body the whole time it is mine. It means being able to treat my body the way I want it to be treated and to have emotional and physical ownership over my own bodily experience, 100 percent.” Emily defines reproductive freedom as at any time, at any week in pregnancy.

Article 22’s ambiguity would allow abortions at any time, for any reason, up to and including 9-months and even after-birth (infanticide).
